1932 – 2018

 Mary “Louise” York Greenier, 85, of Vernon, CT peacefully entered her eternal rest on September 1, 2018, at home surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was born in Castle Hill, ME on September 12, 1932. She was the daughter of Lewis and Daisy York. She married her childhood sweetheart, Herbert “Herbie” Greenier, on January 8, 1951, who predeceased her on July 18, 1992. Louise worked as a homemaker raising their five children. She loved to bless others with her talents in baking, sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She served as a mentor, Bible Study Leader, Sunday School Teacher, and choir member at the Manchester Church of the Nazarene. She was dearly loved by their five children and their families: One daughter, Cathleen Greenier, of Zephyrhills, FL; four sons, Joseph (and Linda) of South Windsor, CT, Michael (and Cheryl) of Palm Coast, FL, Daniel (and Pamela) of Plainville, CT, and David (and Terri) of Vernon, CT. She is survived by 17 grandchildren (predeceased by her grandson, Shyheim) and 20 great-grandchildren. She had eight siblings, predeceased by three sisters and two brothers and survived by two sisters, Mildred Loomis of Lawrence, MA and Gloria Morrill of Yarmouth, ME. Louise is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 2:00PM, at the Manchester Church of the Nazarene.
