Husband, Father, Grandpa, Herbert – Great man of God
Though Herbert passed into Heaven several years prior to Lamb’s Way’s start, he was certainly and inspiration and contributor.

GREENIER. Herbert J. Greenier, 62, of 163 Washington St., Vernon, husband of 41 years to Mary Louise (York) Greenier, died Saturday (July 18, 1992) at his home. Born in Presque Isle, Maine, Oct. 27, 1929, the son of Bessie Pearl (Golding) Greenier of Portland, Maine, and the late Joseph P. Greenier, he was a graduate of Deering High School in Portland, Maine, and had been a resident of Vernon over 27 years. Prior to retiring in 1989, Mr. Greenier was employed by the Goodyear Tire Co. in Maine and Connecticut for 30 years, and more recently, retired from Wilcox Dental Labs in Wethersfield. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Manchester. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Cathleen Greenier of Vernon; for sons, Joseph Greenier of South Windsor, Michael Greenier of East Hartford, Daniel Greenier of Plainville, and David Greenier of Vernon; a sister, Mary A. Nutt of Vernon; three brothers, George Greenier of Portland, Maine, Theodore Greenier of Saco, Maine, and William Greenier of Kittery, Maine; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the Church of the Nazarene, 218 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Mancester, Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cornerstone Christian School, 218 Main St., Manchester 06040.
