SALVATION

No matter how bad you think you are or how bad you think your life is...

There is Hope in Jesus Christ!Fish Emblem

The Holy Bible (The in-errant Word of God) says...

"For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God, ... For the wages of sin is death, ... that if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will  be saved. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. ... 'Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.'"

(Romans 3:23 / Romans 6:23 / Romans 10:9,10 / I John 1:9 / Revelations 3:20)

From the New International Version of the Holy Bible

Realizing that you are a sinner, and fall short of the Glory of God, and that your sins are punishable by death (eternal separation from God), confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe that God sent Him to take your punishment instead of you; that God raised Jesus from the dead to overcome all of hell and hades, and you will be saved. Now make Jesus the guest of honor at your table of life.

The Cross of Jesus is the bridge between man and God.

Pray from your heart...

Heavenly Father: I'm sorry for every sin that I have committed against you, against my family and against myself, thank you for sending your Son to die on the cross and become the atoning sacrifice for my sins. Thank you for paying the penalty that was due me. I take back all the ground I have given the devil through my rebellion and I unconditionally surrender to you Lord Jesus.

I understand that repentance means to turn away from my sins, that is, to quit those sins and walk in newness of life through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I choose to forgive anyone who has ever wronged me. Jesus, I also want you to forgive them. I want to see them in heaven.

I believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of man and that He forgives me of all my sins right now! I welcome you into my heart as my personal Savior.       Amen.

Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God - (John 1:12).

What's Next?

"Then He said to them, 'If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.'"- (Luke 9:23).

A.) If you have a Bible believing church, which can help you to grow spiritually, contact your minister and inform him or her of your new, or renewed, commitment to serve Jesus Christ. Get involved, become a part of the solution for this sick and dying world. Ask your minister what you can do to help the church. Join the membership and be a voice in the church.

B.) If you don't have a church like the one above, find one and become a part of it. Be active and attend Bible studies as often as you can (at least once a week).

C.) Listen to God not man. Know what is in God's Word (The Bible) that you might do what it says.

D.) Talk with other Christians, always measuring what they say against what you are learning in the Word of God.

Read the Bible!!!

Pray to God!!!

Attend your local church!!!

Prayer of Repentance

'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and inverted our values. We confess that we have ridiculed the absolute truth of your word and called it moral pluralism. We have endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have neglected the needy and called it self-preservation. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn an called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it political savvy. We have coveted our neighbors' possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us O God and know our hearts today; try us and see if there be some wicked way in us; cleanse us from every sin and set up free. Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent here by the people of Kansas, and who have been ordained by you, to govern this great state. Grant them your wisdom to rule and may their decisions direct us to the center of your will. I ask it in the name of your son, the living savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

The above prayer was prayed by Rev. Joe Wright, senior pastor of the Central Christian Church in Wichita, Kansas in January of 1996. It was his opening prayer for the Kansas House of Representatives. It was a version of a similar prayer prayed by Bob Russell at the Kentucky Governor's Prayer Breakfast in Frankfort in 1995.
