Who is this Preacher Guy?

Or... "I killed a friend and got off "Free"

 Or... "Happily Ever After"

 I tried to find happiness by pursuing alcohol, drugs, sex, and other selfish ambitions.

 One night my dreams of life-long pleasure came to an end when my wife asked me to leave. I saw all I ever wanted, crash and burn before my eyes.

 I was arrested. I would have been convicted and sentenced to die for my crimes except for an old friend who stepped in, took all the blame, and was executed for crimes he did not commit. Because he took my place I was set free! I can see tomorrow!

 "UNFAIR!" you cry.

 "Coward!" you accuse.

 I say, "Tell it to the judge! His son and I are friends!"

 "INJUSTICE!" you rage.

 "Who is the judge?" you ask.

 God is the Judge. The arresting officer is the Holy Spirit of God. The old Friend is Jesus Christ the Son of God (the Judges Son).

 My crime was sin against God and man. My selfish ambitions were sin of the flesh.

 God is also your Judge. He says you are guilty of sin, just as I and everyone else is. You too have a sentence of death hanging over you. You too, however, have a friend that has died for your sins of which He is not guilty. Jesus died for you. The Holy Bible tells you all about it.

EPILOGUE (or, "The Rest of the Story")

 Yes, I found Jesus at my hour of need. Now, I am glad to tell you that He, and He alone, has put my marriage back together. My wife and I now have four children of our own and one medically fragile foster child. At the time my wife asked me to leave, we had only one child.

 Our marriage is strong. Our commitment to each other and God is stronger still. We are very active in our church and in our children's lives. We are living, "Happily Ever After."
